From the Recruitment, Cultivation, & Diversity (RCD) Team:
The Recruitment, Cultivation & Diversity Programs (RCD) within the Office of Human Capital, combines talent acquisition and cultivation, pipeline development, new teacher development and diversity programs to better support candidates and employees from recruitment throughout their careers. We are committed to recruiting, hiring, developing, and retaining a racially, ethnically, culturally, and linguistically diverse group of highly effective and culturally proficient teachers and principals every year. In addition, the Boston Public Schools encourages applications from members of other historically marginalized groups, such as people with disabilities and people who identify as LGBTQ+.
We continue to focus our efforts on three key “levers” for human capital reform: Build and Support Pipelines, Cultivation, and Develop and Retain. These levers remain at the center of our strategy for accelerating student learning.

EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION
Our mission is to ensure that principals, teachers, paraprofessionals, and school support staff have the knowledge, skills and resources they need to provide a high-quality early education experience for all students.
Our goal is to provide all children with a strong and early start to their formal education. We expect that all children will become internally driven and self motivated learners and will be able to read, write and communicate effectively by third grade, closing the achievement gap.
