Deneysha Riley
Administrative Coordinator, Bilingual Inclusive Education Residency
Deneysha Riley is a Boston native dedicated to advancing equity in education. She earned her undergraduate degree in Political Science with a minor in Black Studies from Providence College, followed by a Master’s in Education Policy from Harvard Graduate School of Education where she concentrated her courses in equity in education.
Deneysha began her career in education in 2018 working at EdVestors, a nonprofit focused on supporting Boston Public Schools, where she supported the implementation of school-based improvement projects, as well as the facilitation of the locally known School on the Move Prize. During her time at EdVestors, she also had the opportunity to collaborate and be a leading member of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Working Group to advance equity in all facets of the organization’s work. Thereafter, she transitioned into the classroom as a 5th-grade teacher and Dean of Students in local charter schools. Throughout her time, she advocated for students and families, ensuring they felt heard, seen, and valued in their school experience.
Deneysha’s commitment and passion for creating equitable learning experiences shapes her contributions to the Boston education community. This continues to be evident in her work with the Recruitment, Cultivation, and Diversity Programs. Currently, she is the Administrative Coordinator for the Bilingual Inclusive Education Residency Program, where she champions inclusive practices and fosters diverse educational environments.
